How to feel worthy of what you want

Quick answer

To feel worthy of your desires, decide that you already are. Worthiness is not earned. It is assumed. Repeat lines like I deserve good things, notice old guilt and swap it for a kinder thought, and think from the end where your wish is normal. You do not have to feel worthy first for it to come.

Imagine a package arrives with your name on it. You do not ask if you earned the right to open it. It is yours. You just sign for it. Learning how to feel worthy of your desires is a lot like that.

Many people want something big and then feel a little voice say, who am I to have that? This post is about quieting that voice and replacing it with a much nicer one.

Why you feel not worthy

The feeling of not being worthy is a story you learned. Maybe you heard that good things go to other people. Maybe you were told to be grateful for less. Maybe you just picked it up along the way.

Whatever the reason, it is a story. It is not a fact about you. And stories can be swapped.

Sometimes this feeling shows up as putting your wish on a pedestal. You see it as so big or so special that it feels out of reach. That is just the old story talking too.

Notice the words that come with it. Who am I to want that? That is for other people. I should be happy with what I have. Each one sounds polite, even humble. But each one makes your wish smaller. You do not need to make your wish smaller to be a good person. You can want big things and be kind at the same time.

You do not have to earn it

This is the big one. You do not have to earn your desires. You do not have to be good enough, finished, fixed or perfect.

Everything is possible. There is no list of who gets to have what. Your assumptions create what you live. So if you assume you are worthy, you are.

Think of a coffee order. The barista does not check if you deserve your oat milk latte. You order it and it comes. Your desires work the same way. You decide, and the 3D, meaning what you can see around you, catches up.

People sometimes ask whether you can manifest anything. Yes. And you do not need to be someone special first. You already are enough.

You do not ask if you earned the package. You just sign for it.

How to feel worthy of your desires

Here is a simple way to build the feeling:

  1. Write your wish down in one short line.
  2. Under it, write: I am worthy of this.
  3. Say that line a few times a day. On the bus, in the shower, as you fall asleep.
  4. Picture yourself already having it. Notice how normal it looks.
  5. When guilt or doubt shows up, swap it for a worthy line.

You do not need to feel worthy right away. Saying it flat still counts. Over time the line moves from strange to normal. That is when you know the story has changed.

It also helps to look at how you talk to yourself in general. Here is a post on self love in the law of assumption that pairs nicely with this one.

Lines about deserving

Pick a few of these, or write your own.

  • I am worthy of everything I want.
  • Good things are normal for me.
  • I deserve to be happy.
  • I receive with ease.
  • I do not have to earn love, money or luck.
  • It is safe for me to have it all.
  • I am the one good things come to.

If you want help choosing one for your phone screen, the affirmation wallpaper quiz is a fun shortcut. A worthy line on your lock screen is a sweet reminder each time you look.

When old guilt shows up

Old guilt may pop up. Maybe you think about something you did years ago and feel like you do not deserve good things now.

That is the old story again. Your past does not decide your future. You can revise old memories, which means replaying them the way you wish they went. Here is how to stop replaying past mistakes if that helps.

When guilt shows up, say: I am worthy now. Then go back to your scene. You do not need to argue. Just choose again.

You cannot mess this up. Every time you choose the worthy story, it grows. The Self concept 101 course has lessons on making this your normal.

Try this today

  1. Write your wish in one line and add: I am worthy of this.
  2. Say it each time you sit down today.
  3. Before sleep, picture one scene where your wish feels normal.

Questions people ask

Do I have to feel worthy before it comes?

No. You do not have to feel it first. You only need to keep choosing the worthy story. The feeling often catches up later.

What if I did bad things in the past?

Your past does not decide what you can have now. You can choose a new story today. Revision can help you let old memories go.

Can anyone manifest anything?

Yes. Everything is possible, and there is no list of who gets what. Your assumptions create what you live, for everyone.

Is it selfish to want a lot?

No. Wanting good things is normal. Your wishes do not take anything from anyone. There is always more than enough.

How do I stop feeling like a fraud?

That feeling is just a new story feeling new. Keep repeating the worthy lines. Fraud turns into familiar, and familiar turns into normal.
